About Hourglass Resources
Hourglass Resources is a team of bookkeepers who turn that pile of papers into insightful reports that help small business owners be profitable. We specialize in small office and home office businesses and help owners save time and money by modernizing their bookkeeping.
As a home office, we’re able to understand the roles our clients take on in their businesses. As each wears many hats, we’re here to assist them in achieving their goals.
We serve clients from South Dundas, Stormont, and Grenville. Our business is open Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm. However, we routinely see clients outside of these hours. During tax season, we have after hours pick up times. Besides, our convenient locked drop box is available 24x7.
This year marks thirteen years in business, and since throwing open our bookkeeping services on April 1, 2005, we always strive to keep on top of the latest technology and trends. While most of our clients use QuickBooks desktop, we provide QuickBooks Online. We can access your books via direct computer connections, and we’re always just an email away.

Our founder, Samantha Gove has a Tax Associate Certificate from H+R Block and is certified in Business Retention and Expansion from OMAFRA, and is dedicated to seeing each of her clients succeed.
As a company, we make an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. This is why we recycle our printer cartridges and only purchase refurbished ones. We don’t print emails, and all our invoices are emailed. We are currently looking into paper made from bamboo. To give back to the community that supports us, we donate to 100 Women Who Care, CHEO and the Make a Wish Foundation.
